Dwarves have long mined the mountain they live in. Ever down, ever for greater wealth. Dangers have always been present, from fungal spores that zombify dwarves, to clans of angry feral goblins. The giant spiders and cave crawlers were dangerous, but manageable. But now…now the dwarves have released something. But what else would you expect, since… They Dug Too Deep.
Players take control of a dwarf who “said ‘not me’ slowest” and is sent down to determine (and deal with) what was released by the dwarves digging too deep, be that goblins and zombies, giant acid spewing rat bosses, or worse. Gameplay is divided into depths/levels. Each level is a randomly generated tile-based grid filled with obstacles, enemy spawners, treasure, a hole leading deeper, and one hard-to-find winch needed to descend down that hole.
